A woman has been charged after being found behind the wheel of a vehicle that was not registered to her name.

Officers hauled the car over in the downtown area around 11:15 yesterday morning. After running the information through the system, it was discovered that the vehicle had been reported stolen from RCMP jurisdiction earlier that day.

The 30-year-old was taken into custody on charges of possession of stolen property and breach of a court order.
