RNC are investigating an overnight collision in the capital city that claimed the life of one person.
Police responded to a single-vehicle rollover near the intersection of Mayor Avenue and Newtown Road around 1:30 this morning.
There were four people in the vehicle at the time – one of whom succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
The three other occupants were taken to hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
RNC say the driver failed a roadside screening test and their license has been suspended, but the investigation continues.
No further details are being released by police at this time.
Investigators remain at the scene and are seeking any witnesses or video footage from the area in the lead-up to, or immediately following the crash.

The crash occurred around 1:30 this morning and the area remains closed to traffic as officers, some using drones, continue their investigation.
A heavily damaged car, covered in a tarp, is on the sidewalk and Newfoundland Power is on the scene repairing a utility pole that has been cracked off.
