The Newfoundland and Labrador Liquor Corporation is looking to increase the number of outlets where people can buy legal cannabis.
The NLC has issued a call for applications for new licensed cannabis retailers. In particular, they want to expand into rural and underserved communities, which they say is an “important part” of their efforts to improve access to regulated cannabis and cut into the illicit market.
Applications will be considered in 15 areas:
- Badger – Buchans
- Bay Bulls – Witless Bay
- Botwood
- Brigus
- Fogo Island
- Gambo – Hare Bay
- Grand Bank to Lamaline
- Lethbridge – Port Rexton
- Logy Bay
- Port au Port Peninsula
- Port Blandford
- Rocky Harbour – Norris Point
- South Shore Bay of Islands
