The Jim Crosbie Field in Conception Bay South has been given a makeover thanks to help from the Toronto Blue Jays’ charitable affiliate.

Over $112,000 in funding was awarded through the Jays Care Field of Dreams program to allow for several upgrades which are now complete.

Todd Powell of the CBS Kiwanis Minor Baseball Association says beyond the improved aesthetics, upgrades have also been made to make the ballpark more accessible for athletes and spectators.

The stands are now easily accessible for anyone with mobility issues or those with strollers. The field is also accessible to athletes of all abilities.
