A 33-year-old man from Springdale has been charged following a two-vehicle collision on the Beothuck Trail near South Brook yesterday afternoon.
RCMP say the collision, which occurred around 4:30, sent the occupants of one vehicle to hospital for treatment.
The driver of the second vehicle was not injured and refused medical treatment.
The driver failed a roadside screening after the responding officer noticed signs of impairment and open alcohol at the scene.
The accused was released on conditions to appear in court in September on a charge of impaired driving.
His licence was suspended, and his vehicle was seized.
