A man has been arrested and charged following an incident involving a firearm near Grand Falls-Windsor over the weekend.
The RCMP were first called just after 11:00 Saturday morning by a contractor working in the woods near Tom Joe Brook.
They say the workers were asking about tools missing from their job site when a property owner threatened them with a firearm – pushing one victim with the weapon.
Forty-six-year-old Corey Chislett was arrested without incident and has been charged with pointing a firearm, assault with a weapon, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
The investigation is continuing with more charges possible.
