The provincial government is offering its condolences on the passing of renowned seabird biologist and environmentalist, Dr. Bill Montevecchi.

Minister of Environment, Conservation and Climate Change, Chris Tibbs says Montevecchi dedicated his life and career to developing seabird research programs and advocating for the conservation and protection of natural areas and wildlife throughout Newfoundland and Labrador.

Visitation is taking place today at Caul’s Funeral Home on LeMarchant Road from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Donations in Montevecchi’s memory are being accepted for the Friends of Cape St. Mary’s.
