Some 825 pounds of cod, and fish processing and packaging equipment was seized by DFO as part of an investigation into the illegal sale of fish caught in the recreational food fishery.
Officers from the Bay Roberts DFO detachment searched a home and business in the Trinity Bay area on July 30 as part of the investigation.
DFO says it is illegal for fish caught in the recreational fishery to be sold, traded or bartered, and any sale of fish, including processed fish and fish products outside the license commercial fishery is illegal.
No further information is being made available at this time as the investigation continues.
