The province’s offshore oil regulator has issued two calls for nominations for parcels of land off eastern Newfoundland including the Jeanne d’Arc region, and off Labrador.
After a review of submissions received from the calls for nominations, the regulator will determine whether it will proceed with the bidding process.
Call for bids would be announced early in 2027 and close in November of 2027, with licences awarded to successful bidders early in 2028.
