The Canadian Heritage Minute dedicated to the response of Gander and surrounding communities to the fallout of the 9/11 terrorist attacks has been unveiled.
The one-minute video was first screened during a ceremony at Gander International Airport Tuesday night.
The video features Rick Mercer as then-Gander Mayor Claude Elliott, and shows scenes of the response at the airport, people’s responses to the shocking images of the attacks on TV, and the compassion shown by residents to the stranded passengers.
