A 37-year-old Mount Pearl woman’s licence was suspended on the spot after RCMP stopped her for driving at excessive speeds on the Salmonier Line Tuesday night.
A patrol officer clocked the woman’s vehicle at speeds of up to 153 km/h in a 100 km/h zone.
She was handed a speeding ticket and her licence was suspended roadside.
RCMP say excessive speed is the most common contributor to serious and fatal road collisions.
