Atlantic Lottery recently marked its 50th anniversary by giving back to the community.
The organization launched its Community Game Changers program earlier this year – seeking nominations recognizing people from across Atlantic Canada who are making “a meaningful, positive impact on their local communities.”
Breast cancer survivor and volunteer fundraiser for the Canadian Cancer Society, Linda Ryan, was chosen from among the nominees in this province to select a charity of her choice to benefit from ALC funding.
She directed $25,000 for Daffodil Place – a home away from home for those who must travel to St. John’s for cancer treatment.
