A woman who was not supposed to be behind the wheel has been charged after trying to pull a fast one on the RNC.
Officers on patrol pulled the car over on Topsail Road in St. John’s around 9:00 last night.
When asked, the driver gave police a name that was totally made up.
The 34-year-old was released to appear in court at a later date on a charge of public mischief.
Police also discovered that she held the bare minimum when it came to driving credentials. She was ticketed for having a suspended licence, failing to display the novice driver sign and driving without an experienced driver in the car.
The vehicle was impounded.
