One of the most popular and well-known musicians on the planet has caught the attention of people in this province for a subtle nod to Newfoundland and Labrador in a recent social media post.

Justin Bieber recently posted a collection of photos to his Instagram account, with the Great Big Sea version of the iconic I’s the B’y playing in the background.

Many in this province were quick to pick up on the use of the song, with Great Big Sea frontman Alan Doyle commenting “Attaway! cheers from Newfoundland.”

Bieber has performed in this province once, at the 2010 JUNO Awards in St. John’s.
