The annual moose hunt in Terra Nova National Park begins tomorrow.
Framed as a moose reduction program and not a moose hunt per se, the program began in 2011 as a way to control the damaging impact too many moose have on forest growth in the park.
The park is divided into two zones – hunting in Zone 1 begins tomorrow and runs through to Sunday, January 31.
Hunting in Zone 2 is closed for the entire 2026-27 season.
