A 70-year-old man was arrested and charged for impaired driving after an incident over the weekend.

Harbour Grace RCMP noticed a pickup pull onto Water Street in Carbonear, traveling well below the speed limit, around 9:00 Saturday evening.

The vehicle drifted over the white line on the side of the road and police attempted to pull the pickup over.

It continued slowly, and eventually pulled into an apartment building.

The driver, from Salmon Cove, failed a roadside breath test and was arrested for impaired driving.

His pickup was seized and impounded and he’s scheduled to appear in court in November.
