Passengers who traveled on West Jet from Winnipeg to Toronto and St. John’s one week ago are being asked to contact 811 after a man returning to Newfoundland from Winnipeg tested positive for COVID-19.
Public Health officials say it’s with “an abundance of caution” that they are making the advisory.
Anyone who was on board WestJet flights 306 and 328 departing from Winnipeg and Toronto for St. John’s on Monday, September 21 should call 811 and arrange for a COVID-19 test.
The man in question has been self-isolating since arriving back in the province.
Contact tracing is underway, and close contacts have also been asked to quarantine.
