A 23-year-old man is in custody following an incident in Shea Heights.
Police were called to the area shortly before 8:00 p.m. following reports that there was a fight out on the street.
Police arrived to find that the suspect had fled the scene, but they located him a short while later in a vehicle.
The man was known to police and had several warrants out for his arrest.
He has been charged with assaulting police, resisting arrest, and breaching court orders.
He will appear in court today to answer to the charges.
