We will get a good look at Canada’s newest warship today as it visits Newfoundland waters.
HMCS Harry DeWolf will anchor in Long Pond, Conception Bay South as it continues post-acceptance trials. The trials will include a planned proficiency patrol around the waters off Newfoundland.
The Royal Canadian Navy says it has taken precautionary measures surrounding COVID-19 to ensure that the ship’s company is healthy and to avoid any illness or additional exposure to its sailors or to the public while visiting CBS and St. John’s.
The ship has been operating mostly at sea since mid-October and none of the ship’s company has travelled outside the Atlantic Bubble.
Before proceeding ashore in Conception Bay and St. John’s, the crews will be screened by the ship’s medical personnel.
