The extension to Hebron Way in the east end of St. John’s is now complete and the road will open to traffic at 5:00 this afternoon.
The goal is to reduce traffic congestion on Torbay Road by providing an alternate route to the Torbay Road North commercial area.
The Major’s Path/Torbay Road intersection has seen many an accident over the years.
The project entails a connection to Hebron Way from Carolyn Drive northbound, a roundabout at the intersection of Hebron Way and Major’s Path, water and sewer upgrades, sidewalks and a multi-purpose trail.
