Opposition Leader Ches Crosbie says the Premier has to explain how the so-called “miscommunication” on wetland capping at Muskrat Falls occurred on his watch.
Crosbie says Andrew Parsons was the Minister of Environment at the time when Nalcor requested a permit to undertake wetland capping to methylmercury mitigation in July of 2018.
Crosbie claims Parsons has repeatedly “ducked” interview requests on the matter, and that Premier Ball has blamed one of his own ministers for fumbling the deadline for wetland capping at the Muskrat Falls reservoir.
Crosbie says the province needs answers and he’s calling on Premier Ball to immediately release any documents that contain the “miscommunication” and show how and why it was made.
