A man refused the breathalyzer after a car-pedestrian hit and run last night in St. John’s. The mishap occurred on Leslie Street at about 9:30.
The vehicle was stopped by the RNC on nearby Waterford Bridge Road. The 44-year-old driver was charged with drunk driving, failing to remain at the scene of an accident, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and breaching a court order. He was held for court.
