It has now been over one year since COVID-19 first appeared in Canada, and the College of Registered Nurses is urging their members to remain vigilant against the spread of misinformation surrounding the virus.
Conspiracy theories about the virus have been out there since the onset of the pandemic.
Now, with the vaccine rollout in full effect, misinformation is circulating about things such as side effects and effectiveness.
The College says public trust and confidence in vaccines is paramount in fighting the spread of Coronavirus, and are urging their members to make sure that their clients are getting their information from proper sources.
Executive Director Lynn Power stresses the importance of the vaccine on human health.
She says we have a solution that could return us to normalcy, but the only way to reach that goal is mass immunization.
