The Women’s Fast Pitch Canadian Championships in St. John’s have come to an end, and the Calahoo Erins are national champions for their second year in a row.
The Alberta team seized their second title over the Saskatoon G-Force with a 5-3 win on Sunday, to claim gold.
It’s the first time the championships were hosted in St. John’s since 1988.
Nine teams from across the country hit the diamond at Lions Park and Victoria Park to test their skills.
Host club Galway took one win in the tournament, ending in 8th place, while the west coast’s Animal Health Centre Wildcats (Team Newfoundland and Labrador) came in 9th.
