A long time community volunteer and member of the Newfoundland and Labrador Hockey Hall of Fame has passed away.
Wally Dalley of Twillingate passed away on Saturday at the age of 74.
Dalley devoted more than 30 years of his life to hockey in the province, helping to create the minor hockey system and was a well-respected coach for ten years.
Dalley also played an integral role in the annual Fish, Fun and Folk Festival in Twillingate and was the father of former MHA and cabinet minister, Derrick Dalley.
The funeral will take place tomorrow at 2:00 from the Salvation Army Citadel in Twillingate with interment to follow at the Ragged Point Salvation Army Cemetery.
