There were no injuries reported following a moose-vehicle collision near Petty Harbour at about 10:30 last evening.
The collision occurred on Maddox Cove Road just south of Blackhead Road when a northbound sedan struck the animal, causing significant damage to the vehicle.
The two occupants of the car were assessed by paramedics on scene, however neither required further treatment.
The moose was able to escape back into the woods.
