Police on the west coast caught up with two illegal drivers in separate incidents only a few minutes apart just before lunchtime yesterday.
A 44-year-old man was stopped in the Philip Drive area of Corner Brook and charged under the Highway Traffic Act for operating a vehicle without insurance and having a false licence plate attached.
A 35-year-old man from Cox’s Cove was stopped by the RCMP on the TCH near the Humber Valley Resort exit, then turned over to RNC Corner Brook. He has been slapped with outstanding charges including breach of an undertaking.
His next court appearance is scheduled for June.
