At least fifteen break-ins, a third of those targeting churches, have occurred in the Grand Falls-Windsor area since late July.

That according to RCMP Sergeant Terry Greening says money, computers and alcohol have been taken by what they believe are multiple suspects.

He calls them smash and grabs. They are beating in doors, grabbing what they can and leaving.

It seems to be spread across the area, with similar incidents being reported as far out as Springdale.

They are asking anyone with information about the thefts to call RCMP or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
