COVID-19 vaccines are available today for residents 85 years of age and older in the Central Health region

Vaccinations are by appointment only and those who have pre-registered will be contacted.

The vaccine will be administered in Buchans, Baie Verte, Harbour Breton, Gander, Grand Falls- Windsor, Lewisporte, Botwood, Springdale, Brookfield, Twillingate, and Fogo.

Clinics in smaller communities will be available as the rollout moves forward. Logistics are still being finalized, however, next week Central Health will offer clinics in the Change Islands, St. Alban’s, and Glovertown areas.

Residents of these communities who are 85 and older will be offered the opportunity to travel to the bigger centres if they prefer not to wait.

Those who decline will remain in the queue for an appointment at another clinic.
