The list of nominees has been revealed for the 50th Juno Awards, and there is a good showing by Newfoundland and Labrador artists.
Rum Ragged continues the success of their album “The Thing About Fish” with a Traditional Roots Album of the Year nomination.
St. John’s native Matt Maher has once again found himself on the Juno nomination list for Contemporary Christian/Gospel Album of the year.
Germany-born, St. John’s-based jazz musician Florian Hoefner has picked up a nod for Jazz Album of the Year.
Rounding out the accolades from this province is comedian Matt Wright, who picked up a nomination for Comedy Album of the Year.
The awards will be handed out on Sunday, May 16 in a virtual, televised broadcast.
