Vaccine distribution has been a hot topic, not just in Newfoundland and Labrador, but across the country in recent weeks as more vaccines are approved for use.
According to a new survey, four out of every five Canadians support the idea of sending supplies where the need is most urgent.
The survey by Narrative Research indicates that 79 per cent of Canadian adults asked would support their provincial or territorial government in sharing their vaccine supply with another region that has a more urgent need.
Support in this province is just above the national average, with 82 per cent of those surveyed supporting the concept.
The survey found that support was at its lowest in Quebec. However, the numbers are still high, with 72 per cent of respondents saying they are in favour of supply sharing.
This comes as Newfoundland and Labrador plans to ramp up its vaccination campaign.
Phase two of the vaccination process is set to begin next month. Overall, the province is aiming to have first shots in the arms of anyone who wants it by the end of June.
