The CEO of the Newfoundland and Labrador English School district is confident that all students who must complete online learning in the province now have the resources to do so.
As of Thursday, most high school students across the province will be moving to an exclusively online learning model. The exception to that rule will be schools with smaller student populations in which proper physical distancing can be maintained.
Tony Stack says there were around 3,000 requests for Chromebooks in Grades 7-12 province-wide that have been fulfilled, as well around 600 homes have been provided with internet access.
He says if anything emerging happens they will address it, but there should be “no impediment to online learning at this time.”
