It’s still “wait and see” for the local rowing community now that the Royal St. John’s Regatta Committee has submitted its Return to Play plan to Public Health.

President of the Regatta Committee Brad Power says with continued uncertainty surrounding the pandemic, they still don’t know if the Regatta will be a go this summer.

That’s forced them to prepare for every possible scenario.

He believes they may be able to get crew cohorts on the water rowing, but the possibility of a garden party with tens of thousands of people on the shores of Quidi Vidi Lake is still up in the air.

“Everything depends on COVID,” says Power.
