A local musician’s cover of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” is featured in the biggest movie of the winter.
The long-awaited blockbuster, Zack Snyder’s Justice League was released last week, featuring the music of Corner Brook musician, Allison Crowe.
Crowe says Snyder originally reached out to her 14 years ago about her cover and has been trying to put it in his movies ever since.
She says hearing herself in the movie was surreal.

The inclusion of Crowe’s song in Justice League is a tribute to Snyder’s daughter, Autumn, who died during the original production of the film in 2017.
Crowe says it’s an honour for her to provide this tribute.
She calls the experience humbling and says that she’s glad she can provide that solace to Snyder’s family.
