Trinity-Conception came together Thursday afternoon to help local kids head back to school with the supplies they need.
“Block the Bus KIXX Country” took place at the TC Square in Carbonear. Mall manager, Wally Snow says they see more support every year, attributing the event’s success to major support shown by the community.
In addition to a busload of school supplies, the campaign raised $640 in cash donations.
The Salvation Army will distribute the school supplies to families in the Trinity-Conception area.
The event also featured a live performance by Carbonear-born, Upper Island Cove-raised country star Jason Greeley.
