Some major changes regarding health care services at Eastern Health under Alert Level 2.

Cancer Care services continues including chemotherapy radiation and bloodwork appointments.

In-person cancer appointments will gradually resume as of Monday, with virtual appointments when appropriate. One support person will be allowed per patient, however patients undergoing chemo or radiation come alone.

Cardiac surgeries are returning to full capacity, patients will be contacted, while cardiac catherizations are also returning to full operations.

All other major operations are resuming as normal, including surgeries, and outpatient services will be offered in-person, or virtually when appropriate.
