Western Health is setting up a COVID-19 vaccination clinic this Friday to help use up the province’s supply of AstraZeneca.
Public Health put a pause on administration of the vaccine to people under the age of 55 earlier this week due to new guidelines from the National Advisory Committee in response to the risk of blood clots being reported in Europe.
The clinic will be set up in order to use up the province’s supply of the vaccine, which is set to expire this week.
It will take place at the Valley Mall in Corner Brook, and will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The clinic is open to anyone between 55 and 64, including those who don’t live in Corner Brook itself.
Preregistration is not required, but booking an appointment is.
