The RNC have been kept busy following four separate armed robberies in the metro region in just over a 24-hour time frame.
The first call came at 4:30 Wednesday morning. A man entered a Torbay Road gas station demanding cash and cigarettes before fleeing the scene on foot.
Early Thursday morning, at around 4:45, police responded to a robbery at a service station on Elizabeth Avenue. The man reportedly demanded cash and cigarettes before leaving on foot.
Less than an hour later—at 5:20—a man, believed to be the same suspect, entered a service station on Stavanger Drive. This time the suspect presented a weapon to the clerk while demanding cash and cigarettes. A short time later, police received a similar call from a gas station on Portugal Cove Road about a man matching the same description, demanding cash and cigarettes.
The suspect, believed to be in his 30s, is described as having an average build, about 5’9″, with short, messy black hair and facial stubble.
The suspect in the Thursday incidents was wearing a black and grey Adidas windbreaker, dark jeans, brown shoes, and a multi-coloured fabric face mask.
