The Ocean Startup Project has launched its second-ever Ocean Startup Challenge and it is hoping to hear from local innovators.

Up to $1.4-million in award money is being offered this year, up from the $350,000 dollars in prize money offered last year.

Executive Director Don Grant says this year’s Ocean Startup Challenge will build on the momentum being seen in the country’s ocean sector by drawing innovative ideas and developing new ocean tech companies.

Applicants from across Canada and around the world are encouraged to apply.
