Premier Andrew Furey is not ruling out easing travel restrictions between individual provinces while the Atlantic Bubble is on hold.
The Council of Atlantic Premiers announced the delay of the bubble for at least two weeks on Wednesday following a spike in cases in some areas, particularly northern New Brunswick.
Health officials in the province reported 16 new cases yesterday—with 14 identified in the Edmundston area which was placed under lockdown last weekend.
However, Furey does say that the province is weighing all options, noting they have not made a firm decision on our border with Nova Scotia just yet.
He says they are constantly looking at the real-world epidemiology of the situation and are “entertaining all options.”
