Health officials are reporting four new cases of COVID-19 in Newfoundland and Labrador.
The numbers were released suppertime Sunday night.
Three of the cases were confirmed on Saturday, and the fourth later Sunday.
All are in the Eastern Health region, and all but one of the four cases are related to travel in or outside Canada, with the other being a close contact of a previous case.
There is no one now in hospital with the virus and there are 22 active cases, with 13 of those in the Eastern Health region and nine in Western.
The four new cases include two men in their 20s or 30s, another man in his 40s and a woman in her 40s.
The numbers once again caught many off guard after officials said that all weekend numbers would be reported on Monday, unless there was a need to get information to the public or the situation changed significantly.
Sunday’s single case also prompted an advisory for anyone on Air Canada Flight 8996 from Halifax to St. John’s on Wednesday, April 14th to arrange for testing.
The next live COVID-19 briefing is scheduled for Wednesday, but at 12:30 p.m. due to the sitting of the House of Assembly.
