Eastern Health says there has been very good interest in vaccination clinics for area residents aged 65 and older, leading to some clinics being fully booked.
The health authority acknowledges high volumes of people trying to get through to book their appointments.
There were repeated calls to VOCM Open Line and the VOCM Newsroom last week from residents frustrated that they could not get through to the booking system to arrange an appointment.
Eastern Health says some of those clinics are now full, but appointments are still available in other locations.
Clinics that are full will not be available on the online system. More clinics will be made available in the future if clinics are not available in the community clinic of choice.
Eastern Heath encourages people to book their appointments online. The telephone booking system is operated through the Centre for Health Information.
