There were two armed robberies in St. John’s yesterday in the broad daylight hours.
The first happened at a business in the centre city around noon where a person got away before police arrived. There were no injuries.
Then just after 3 p.m., RNC officers rushed to another business in the east end and located a 43-year-old man a short distance from the store.
He was arrested and charged with robbery and breaches of court orders. He will be in court this morning.
