Residents of Lewisporte are being warned to lock their vehicle following a recent string of thefts of property from unlocked vehicles in the town.
Lewisporte RCMP have received seven reports of thefts from unlocked vehicles parked in driveways overnight between April 27 and April 29.
Police say a number of streets were hit during the thefts including Tizzard Street, Beaumont Street, Main Street, Hillgrade Street and First Avenue.
They are reminding the public to ensure their vehicles are locked and all valuables are out of sight.
They are also asking the public to check any available surveillance footage in the area. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Lewisporte RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
