The mental health impact of the COVID pandemic is continuing to be felt across the country.
More than a year into the pandemic and there hasn’t been any sense of a mental health recovery.
That’s according to Paula Allen of Morneau Shapell which tracks the mental well being of workers across the country.
Allen says their latest report shows that workers are continuing to feel the strain of the situation.
“We had a collective trauma,” she says, and it’s been dragging on for so long, it can pose a serious risk.
“When you’re feeling that kind of strain for a long period of time,” she says “it’s less likely that it’ll be easy for you to go back to where you were in terms of your mental health.”
