The Royal St. John’s Regatta Committee is now open for on-water operations—which means practice spins—for the first time for some people since the Fall Regatta of 2019.
A crew consisting solely of members of the Regatta Committee took to the waters of Quidi Vidi at 6:15 this morning, an ideal day for rowing with cool temperatures, a light mist, and light winds.
And it’s a GREEN FLAG! 🙌

Committee president Bradley Power says they’re asking all crewmembers to wear masks until they pull away from the dock.
The Regatta would normally attract over 100 crews but they’re limiting registration to the first 50, then monitoring to see how things go from there.
This year’s Regatta is still tentative but they hope that the event will go ahead as scheduled with numerous modifications.
