The province has five new confirmed cases of COVID-19, plus one new case on board the cargo ship Federal Montreal anchored in Conception Bay.
Public Health says two of the new cases are in the Eastern Health region. One is travel-related, while the other is a close contact of a previous case.
Single additional cases are being reported in Central, Western, and Labrador-Grenfell Health. Among those three cases, two are travel-related, while the one in Western Health is under investigation.
There is one new confirmed case of COVID-19 among the 22 crew members on the Federal Montreal, bringing the total number of infected crew members to 14.
The sole person in hospital due to COVID-19 is a crew member from the Federal Montreal. As well, the case reported on Friday, April 23 in the Western Health region remains under investigation.
The Department of Health also reported six new recoveries. The total number of active cases remains at 58.
Passengers on Air Canada flight 7540 that departed Toronto and arrived in Deer Lake on Tuesday, May 4 are asked to arrange for testing.
