Mother’s Day in the metro area this year is also Outer Ring Road cleanup day.
A couple of hundred government employees will take to the highway to clean up winter’s mess – and there’s a good bit of it.
Because of the pandemic, the minister of environment and climate change says they did not try to solicit volunteers. Bernard Davis says workers from his department and transportation and infrastructure will be involved.
The ORR will be closed from Topsail Road to Logy Bay Road from 7 a.m. to 7 .p.m.
The Outer Ring Road is closed tomorrow for a cleanup.
Barricades will be erected to prohibit access at entry points:
