The province is reporting six new cases of COVID-19 today, as well as one hospitalization.
Four of the new cases are in Eastern Health. Three of those are travel-related while the other is a close contact of a previous case.
One case is in Central Health and is related to travel. The sixth case is in Western Health and is currently under investigation.
As a result of the new cases, two flight advisories have been issued. Both are for Air Canada flight 678 from Montreal to St. John’s. The first flight arrived this past Tuesday, while the other arrived on Wednesday.
As well, the province is advising of COVID outbreaks at the British Columbia Hydro Site C project and MEG Energy in Alberta. Workers who have returned from these sites in the last 14 days must arrange for testing and complete full 14-day isolation away from family members.
