A temporary drive-through COVID testing site has been set up at the St. Ann’s Center in Codroy Valley in response to recent cases reported in the region.

Western Health is encouraging the students and staff of Belanger Memorial in Doyles to arrange for COVID testing.

The testing is part of efforts to determine whether there has been any transmission within the school. The temporary testing site is currently planned to operate today and tomorrow.

A presumptive positive case with a link to the school was reported yesterday. A presumptive positive is one that has not yet been confirmed by a lab.

Residents who complete the online self-assessment and referral will be contacted to book a COVID test appointment.

Test results are typically available within 24 hours, and can be viewed through the Patient Results portal.
